Vijaysar (Pterocarpus Marsupium) is a wood highly prized for its medicinal properties and is rarely used for Tabla shells today. This wood specimen is a fine grain, subtly figured, and a beautiful golden color. Vijaysar is also known for its acoustic properties, and this Bombay style head produces a deep rich tone with great range.  Finished off with custom White Oak blocks and laced White Oak cover, this TransTabla is sure to be a collectors item and conversation piece.
